If you would have told me several years ago that I would be writing a blog focused solely on Christmas, I would have laughed at you.
Actually, laughing would have been my polite response.
You see, Christmas (and all the hooplah surrounding it) was the most dreaded time of the year for me. I never felt like I had time to enjoy the Christmas season because my husband and I spent every weekend in December traveling from one family members house to the next (culminating in three different house on Christmas day alone) only to pack our bags and head out on an annual family ski trip the day after Christmas. It was holiday overload to say the least.
And to be honest, it's still a little crazy! We've added several more family members (two littles in tow over here), moved houses, got a dog and the post-Christmas family vacation is a little more laidback; however I've found some balance in learning to enjoy the chaos and still give myself time to breath.
Turns out, with a little planning (and a little letting go), Christmas is still one of the most magical times of the year. Several years ago, I started creating Christmas Eve Boxes for my family and what started as a small tradition, has grown into a full fledge e-commerce operation that I've come to love. I also realized some unique talents (let's talk decorating, gifting and mindset), that I plan on sharing with you through the use of this blog. I'm not sure where it will take us, but follow along if you still believe in magic and need to some holiday inspiration!
